The 2025 Edelman Trust Barometer Report, which surveyed 30,000 people in 28 countries, has just been released.
From past reports, I’ve found that my understanding of them deepens and changes after listening to panel discussions–I can’t simply read the report. Here’s one for the 2025 report: “2025 Edelman Trust Barometer Launch Event” dated 1/21/25.
The top 3 findings?
- A fear of discrimination
- A lack of optimism for the next generation, and
- Pressure on business to do more.
Remember, this is a global report–not just about the U.S.
And, this is where I am passionate about the importance of your role as a leader–whether that’s as a team member, manager, senior leader, or executive.
How you lead others in your company or organization matters. Empathy, the ability to listen, and include all stakeholders matter. Having a mission where your work or products make life possible, better or easier for those you serve and where you and your employees have a sense of pride in what you do matters. Whether you are in a for-profit or non-profit, in the private or public sector. You, how you lead, and your work can make such a difference in the world!
